Since we prefer to use distinctive, natural gemstones for our jewelry, irregularities are not only a random occurances, but they are absolutely desired, to give the finished piece a unique look, to create a piece of gemstone art.
 | | Most of our creations are limited edition, some of the larger pieces are one-of-a- kind, but because we are only using natural stones, no two pieces will ever be exactly the same.
|
| | | Although all our designs are strung on .010" or .012" nylon coated stainless steel wire to give extra stabity it is important to handle the pieces with care because the wire can break! | | Bargain box pieces have either sterling silver-filled or pewter toggles. |
| | | For our pearl designs we use pearl fishhook clasps in sterling silver or 14 k gold-filled unless otherwise specified. For our other gemstone necklaces we use sterling silver toggles. | | 14 k gold clasps and earring wires are available for custom pieces upon special request. |
| | | All earrings wires are either surgical steel wire or 14 k gold plated surgical steel wire so allergies have no chance to act up! | | |
We always try to make sure that the gemstones we buy are genuine and of the best quality, but not all the suppliers are always aware of special gemstone treatments, maybe even authenticity (we definitely have to pay extra close attention to turquoise). We always ask, but we do have to rely on the information we are gathering from the suppliers. Please be assured that if dispite our efforts, we might have a stone of questionable authenticity sneak its way into one of our designs, it was not because we neglected to ask, but because of some miscommunication somewhere between the mines and us. Therefore, unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the authenticity of our gemstones (although we make every effort to assure that we only use the real thing!)
